Dhoni is all set to take the cricket field for Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL 2017 which is scheduled to start from April 5.

Before joining the team, Dhoni reported at Gulf Oil India's head office in Mumbai to work as the CEO for a day. He looked crisp and smart in a blue suit, white shirt and a tie.

Here is the official tweet from Gulf Oil India:

Speaking to "Sportstar magazine", Dhoni's commercial manager and old friend Arun Pandey revealed that both the parties had planned the 'special day' for a long time.

Pandey was quoted as saying: "As a CEO of the company for the day, Mahi has attended all the special meetings of the company. He will also take quite a few decisions, just like a real CEO.

"Mahi's association with the company goes back a long way, and for a long time, he also wanted to understand how a corporate CEO works."

This is not the first time that Dhoni held a position in a company. Earlier in 2013, he was appointed as the vice-president of India Cements.

Earlier this year, the former India captain had resigned from his post and handed over the reigns to Virat Kohli.

In IPL too he lost his captaincy of Rising Pune Supergiants to Australian skipper Steve Smith. For the first time in 10 years in IPL, the 35-year-old wicket-keeper batsman will not be leading a side.

Just ahead of the cricket extravaganza, Dhoni added yet another feat to his illustrious career.

Before taking up cricket as a profession, Dhoni used to serve the Indian Railways as a ticket collector. The journey of being a CEO of a multi-national company from a ticket collector is indeed inspirational.
