World T20: After 1-run win, Amitabh Bachchan and MS Dhoni unhappy with Indian commentator

Bengaluru, March 24: As the fans celebrated India's thrilling 1-run victory over Bangladesh last night (March 23), Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni were unhappy with an Indian commentator for his views.

On Wednesday night, India eked out a 1-run win off the last ball in their Group 2 match of World T20 Super 10 stage at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Dhoni, known for his finishing skills with the bat, this time won the game by effecting a run out off the final delivery.

Bachchan, who is a keen follower of cricket, heaped praise on the team and the skipper Dhoni. However, the veteran actor was upset with a particular Indian commentator who seemed to have been concentrating more on Bangladeshi players than the hosts' men.

"T 2184 - With all due respects, it would be really worthy of an Indian commentator to speak more about our players than others all the time," Bachchan tweeted last night after the match. He has close to 20 million followers on Twitter. This tweet was retweeted by more than 2,500 people.

Dhoni, who usually keeps off controversies, replied to that tweet by writing "Nothing to add". This was retweeted by over 4,500 people.

Both Dhoni and Bachchan seemed to have been unhappy with the way an Indian commentator was speaking during the match.

Sunil Gavaskar, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Sanjay Manjrekar, Aakash Chopra and other Indians are part of the commentary team for World T20.

Many feel that the tweet by Bachchan was aimed at former India captain and batting legend Gavaskar.
