Jharkhand: Minor accuses 5, including two cops of rape; CM Raghubar Das orders probe
Ranchi, Aug 1: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday, July 31, ordered a CID probe after a minor girl brought allegations of getting raped by some people, including two police officers, and then blackmailed by them through a video, an official release here said, according to PTI.
The order for the CID probe came during Das's 'Sidhi Baat' programme where the girl complained to him about her ordeal. She is a resident of Jamshedpur, the PTI report added.
According to the release, the girl accused three persons along with the MGM police station-in charge and an officer of the deputy superintendent rank.
According to Jamshedpur Superintendent of Police, Anoop Birtharay, three persons were arrested and sent to judicial custody while an investigation was on into the alleged involvement of two police officers in the crime.
The CM's order came after this.
