Raman Singh sworn in as Chhattisgarh CM for the third time (pics)
Raipur, Dec 12: Raman Singh was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for a third term, adding his name to the list of BJP leaders who have scored a hat trick in their political careers. He was sworn-in at a function in Raipur at the Police Parade Ground at 11 am in the presence of many top leaders of BJP.
Earlier, after his win in the Assembly elections, Singh had said,"It will be a challenge for BJP to fulfil the promises it has made in election manifesto. All those promises and assurances made to the people of the state will be fulfilled."
Commenting on the Lok Sabha elections, he said,"BJP will win all 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh to contribute to BJP's performance in general elections. BJP won 49 seats out of 90 that went to polls, securing a clear majority. Raman Singh was first elected the Chief Minister in 2003.
