Sanwar Lal Jat was a social worker, educationist and a renowned politician from Rajasthan. He was born to Late Shri Balu Ram and Late Smt. Gulab Devi in Gopalpura, Ajmer, Rajasthan. He holds M.Com., PhD and was Educated at Shri Pragya College, Bijay Nagar; Govt. College, Ajmer and Rajasthan University, Jaipur. He was a professor before joining politics. He married to Narbada and they have two sons and one daughter. Sanwar Lal Jat(62), the former Union Minister and BJP MP from Ajmer, passed away at 6.15 a.m. on Wednesday 9th August 2017 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.Mr. Jat had a cardiac arrest, which caused damage to his brain and he was on the ventilator. Sanwar Jat had served as Minister of State for Water Resources in the Narendra Modi government from November 2014 to July 2016
