Kabaddi World Cup 2016 will be played in Ahmedabad from October 7 to 22. India are the defending champions and there are 12 teams in the fray. The tournament will be played in round-robin league format followed by semi-finals and final. Japan, South Korea, Australia, Kenya, Iran, England, USA, Thailand, Bangladesh, Poland and Argentina are the other sides apart from hosts India. Teams are divided into 2 groups - A and B. Pakistan was barred from the tournament due to the prevailing tensions between them and India.
