Mumbai, Dec 20: Daily, thousands of youngsters come to Mumbai to turn their dreams of becoming a 'star' into a reality. Mumbai, the hub of Indian film industry, Bollywood is home to various actors and actresses, who started from scratch and have made a big name for themselves today.

But, not everyone is as lucky as those successful stars. A 25-year-old struggling TV actress, who is also married and has a five-month old baby, had gone through a horrific ordeal when a cameramen reportedly raped her fifteen times on the pretext of promising her a big role in TV serials.

According to the Mid Day report, the accused assistant cameraman, Ravindranath Ghosh met the victim in 2011 in Andheri.

Ghosh, a Goregaon resident, lured her by claiming that he had contacts with various producers and she would land a big role in saas-bahu serials if she 'compromises with him'.

In his police statement, Ghosh has admitted that he had developed a physical relationship with the victim.

"It's true that I had a physical relationship with her. But it is Bollywood's nature: kuchh paane ke liye kuchh khona padta hai (To win some, you got to lose some). I had promised her a role and also paid her hotel and lodge bills. I spent more than Rs 2 lakh on her.", he said.

The complainant has alleged that 'she was raped 15 times from April 2012 to till date'.

In 2011, Ghosh asked the victim to pose in 'bikinis and revealing clothes', to get glamourous image and get the TV serial offers.

In 2011, Ghosh asked the victim to pose in bikinis and revealing clothes.

When victim started ignoring his calls, he reportedly started blackmailing her by saying that he will upload her photographs on social networking websites and send them to her husband, who works in Gujarat.

Then, victim had to surrender herself according to his whims and wishes and every time during the sexual assault, he used to take her nude pics.

Fifteen days back, Ghosh also demanded Rs 3 lakh money from her and also sent her pics to her husband.

The distressed woman said, "Ghosh e-mailed the photographs and told my husband I was having an affair with him. My husband has stopped taking my calls since that day. My life is over."

After this long and horrific ordeal, victim mustered the courage and took advise from a lawyer following which she lodged a complaint at MIDC police station.

Meanwhile, the MIDC police has said that "they will give justice to the victim and make a water tight case against the accused".
