Karnataka woman gang-raped in Kurnool
Kurnool, July 19: In a shocking incident, a young woman from Karnataka has been allegedly gang raped by an auto-rickhshaw driver along with three accomplices, on late Wednesday night.
According to TOI report, the young woman was noticed by a police patrol, at around 11.30pm, in a semi-conscious state. They admitted her to the Kurnool government hospital.

police,
the
woman
is
a
native
of
Kolar,
and
had
come
to
Kurnool,
a
district
in
Andhra
Pradesh,
to
admit
her
cousin
to
a
local
nursing
college.
Then
she
left
the
college
at
around
8.30pm
and
reportedly
boarded
an
autorickshaw
to
reach
the
railway
station.
Police suspect she may have been drugged before being sexually assaulted.
A case has been registered based on a complaint lodged by the woman's cousin.
Presently, the victim is stated to be in a state of shock and her condition is stable. She hasn't given any statement to the police yet.
The police suspects that, the accused, autorickshaw driver took her to the city's outskirts instead of taking her to the railway station. He allegedly called three of his associates and they assaulted her sexually.
However, no arrests have been made yet.
