Three girls drown in a river in Bihar
Bhagalpur, Sep 14 : Three girls, including two siblings, got drowned on Tuesday in a river at Nagwa village in Kahalgaon police station area of Bhagalpur district, a police officer said.
The girls got drowned in Kowa river while immersing some articles in the water as part of a religious ritual, the Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kumar Kaushal said.
The bodies of the girls -- Rani Kumari (19) and the sisters Kanchan Kumari (16) and Suman Kumari (14) - were fished out and handed over to their families after post-mortem, he said.
