Woman walks on metro track in Noida an alleged bid to commit suicide
New Delhi, July 4: In a bid to commit suicide, a 30-year-old woman walked on metro rail tracks forcing the authorities to stop the movement of trains for a while in New Delhi. The video of walking on track by a woman also went viral on social media.
The incident took place in Noida where the woman can be seen walking from Noida Sector 15 metro station to the Sector 16 metro station. The woman did not board the metro but instead chose to walk the distance.
Officials said that the woman is seen clad in salwar-suit and a handbag hanging from her shoulder. The woman is seen going from Sector 16 towards Sector 15. The incident exposes security laps as how the woman went on to the tracks.
The DMRC then issued a statement after the matter was brought to notice. "DMRC staff noticed her on the tracks on 28 June and handed her over to the authorities," it said.
