Supreme Court sends former RJD MP Shahabuddin back to jail
New Delhi, Sept 30: The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the bail granted to former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin. The court also ordered that he be taken to jail forthwith. He will now be lodged in the Bhagalpur jail. The court also ordered that the trial against Shahbuddin be completed expeditiously.
After the Patna High Court had granted Shahabuddin bail, the Bihar government challenged the same. A petition was also filed by Prashanth Bhushan on behalf of the victim's family.
Shahabuddin had been in jail for nearly 10 years for his connection in multiple case. The Patna High Court had granted him bail in connection with the murder of a witness in the killing of two brothers in Siwan.

killed

Siwan,
Bihar
by
bathing
them
in
acid.
The
elder
brother
of
the
victims
Rajiv
Roshan
who
was
an
eye
witness
in
the
case
was
shot
dead
in
2015.
