Lone happy with meeting with PM Modi
New Delhi, Nov 11: Former separatist and Peoples Conference leader Sajjad Lone seems to be bowled over with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's humble and down-to-earth attitude.

After meeting Modi for nearly 45 mintues on Monday, Lone seemed to be pleased with the meeting and said that Modi is very humble. "I came as a Kashmiri to meet PM Narendra Modi and I was pleasantly surprised with his down-to-earth personality, his vision about bringing in investments into the state," Lone said.

There have been speculations that Peoples Conference may join hands with the BJP ahead of the J&K assembly elections. However after the meeting on Monday, Lone said that there was not discussion of elections between him and Modi.

"I have discussed only Kashmir problems with the Prime Minister. I requested for additional relief and rehabilitation for the flood-hit people in the state," he said. Lone said that Modi assured him that he was personally monitoring the situation in Kashmir.

BJP is aiming for 44 plus seats in the upcoming assembly election and Lone is aiming to revive the Peoples Conference party. Lone's party will contest from 12 seats.
