Rahul Gandhi, Oppn leaders protest wearing black gags outside Parliament
New Delhi, Dec 5: Protesting against the functioning of the government in the House, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi along with Opposition leaders was seen outside the Lok Sabha wearing black cloths across their mouths.
This comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and said that she had apologised. "The Opposition must allow the Parliament to function," Modi had said.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi said: "The attitude of the government is not to allow democratic process in the House. We have tied a black cloth across out mouth because the Opposition is not being allowed to talk.
It is the mindset of the top leaders of the country to not allow democratic conversation in the House. The attitude is to not let people's expression be heard in the House," he said.
