Mushkil for Ae dil: Karan Johar to meet Rajnath Singh
The movie slated for release this weekend is facing trouble as it stars Fawhad Khan, a Pakistani actor. Several groups have come out in protest against the movie and threatened to stall the release of the movie.
Although Karan Johar had appealed to protesters to allow the release of his movie, none were impressed.
In fact groups have threatened to attack movie theatres if the film is released. Several single screen theatres in the country have said that they would not release the movie.
Protesters had said that following the Uri attack, in which India lost 19 of its brave soldiers, there was never any condemnation by the Pakistani actors including Fawhad Khan. Following the attack, Fawhad left for Pakistan. Although he issued a statement from there, protesters said that the reaction was not instant, but a forced one.
Few days back, Karan Johar had released a video in which he was seen appealing to let his movie release. He said that he was patriotic and also promised that he would never work with any Pakistani actor again.
However, protesters weren't impressed. They said that the reaction has come too late. Moreover it would not be right to release a movie starring a Pakistan actor when relations with Pakistan have fallen to an all time low.
"They cannot kill our people on one hand and also allow their actors to earn Indian money," the protesters have also said.
