Maggi samples unsafe in Delhi; Karnataka, Maha send samples for testing

New Delhi, June 2: This may just prove to be a major setback to Nestle, manufacturers of the 2-minute Maggi noodle that has been embroiled in a controversy.

The Delhi government on Tuesday said that the lab testing reports show Maggi samples were found to be unsafe in national capital.

Maggi samples unsafe: Delhi govt

The Delhi government said that ‘13 samples of Maggi were collected and tested out of which 10 were found to be unsafe and unfit for consumption.' Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain will meet Nestle officials tomorrow, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Kerala government has already cracked the whip and has removed Maggi samples from government run stores.

In states like Karnataka and Maharashtra, Maggi samples have been sent to laboratories for testing.

The Karnataka government ordered random lifting of samples of Maggi noodles from across the state for laboratory testing, Health Minister U T Khader said.
