Reports said that Ashwini Upadhyay, AAP's legal cell president on Sunday called Arvind Kejriwal a 'liar' and a 'CIA agent', as he was not offered the ticket to contest LS polls.
Upadhyay blocked Kejriwal's way outside his residence when he was going to Mathura to address a rally.
While accusing Kejriwal of "diverting from real issues", Upadhyay said, "This man is a liar. He tells lies."
"Initially, corruption, communalism, VIP culture, dynasty politics rule and caste-based politics were main issues of AAP, but now compromises are being regarding these issues", he shouted.
Kejriwal also said in front of media, "We will not give you ticket."
Kejriwal is a liar. He tells lies: Ashwini Upadhyay
Upadhyay, who has taken a rebellion stand against his own party chief, like Vinod Kumar Binny, has threatened to sit on fast unto death if Kejriwal doesn't answer his 11 questions.
Upadhyay has resigned from the party and has also made serious allegations about the party's inclusion of anti-national elements and funding and influence from abroad including funding by Ford Foundation and how over the last one decade more than Rs 4,000 crore has been distributed by Ford Foundation among those NGOs in India who either sympathise with the Maoists or terrorists.
Last week, Upadhyay resigned from the party and alleged during a press conference, "Tickets for the Lok Sabha elections were pre-decided and that the party only used the data of the people who had submitted the forms.
However, AAP spokesperson Deepak Bajpai refuted allegations levelled by him and said, "He is not a convener of the Legal Cell, but just a volunteer. There have been some disgruntled elements after the ticket distributions. The allegations are baseless."
