Delhi Metro's Yellow line hits technical snag; train moves with doors open!
The doors on one side of a moving Delhi Metro train remained open for more than a minute, an official said.
The incident took pace on the yellow line that operates from Jahangirpuri to Huda City Centre stations.
"The doors remained open between the Arjan Garh and Ghitorni stations. The incident occurred sometime between 9.30 am and 9.45 am," an official said.
According to a report, the train operator has been suspended by the DMRC for failing to listen to commuters who had reportedly informed the driver about the doors failing to shut automatically.
"It was an error by the train operator and he has been suspended with immediate effect. The matter is being investigated," DMRC said in a statement.
Delhi Metro ferries about 23 lakh passengers every day and Yellow line route connects North Delhi's Jahangir Puri with Gurgaon's Huda City Centre metro station.
