The Juvenile Justice Board which tried the juvenile found him guilty and sent him to the juvenile home for a period of three years. Following this order the juvenile went in appeal against the order.

The Patiala House Court at New Delhi upheld the order of the board and held him guilty under the provisions of the unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Indian Panel Code and Explosive Substances Act for various offences including criminal conspiracy for terrorists Act and waging war against the Government of India.
