Delhi cops felicitated for helping lady
New Delhi, Sept 17: Three Delhi police officers on Wednesday, were awarded the 'Asadharan Karya Puraskar[' with a cash reward of Rs 10,000 each for saving the life of a woman and her baby, which she delivered inside a patrol van.

The three cops, were on patrol duty in Mubarakpur Road in Kirari area, when they came across a worried man, whose car had broken down on the way to the hospital.

Upon inquiry, they found out that the man, was en route to the hospital since his wife had developed labour pains.

"Without wasting any time, the cops immediately put the woman and her family in the PCR van to take them to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital but on the way, she gave birth to a baby girl,' an official said.

The three officers are Head Constable Laxman and Constables Amandeep and Haresh. The family too expressed their gratitude and thanked all of them.
