Arun Jaitley hits out at Congress says, crowds at Modi's events are genuine
New Delhi, Nov 17: After Congress's Salman Khurshid attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that ‘people were taken from India for slogan shouting at Modi's events abroad, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that ‘the crowds at Modi's foreign events were genuine.
Jaitley said that the comment made by the Congress party was a fascinating claim. "I can understand the plight of Salman and his party colleagues particularly when the Prime Minister gets a larger crowd in Sydney than Salman gets in India."
Jaitley wrote on Twitter:
Why
is
Congress
paranoid
about
Prime
Minister
Narendra
Modi
drawing
more
crowd
abroad
than
what
its
leader
gets
at
home?

Jaitley said: "If UPA (United Progressive Alliance) leaders during their days in government left the expatriate Indian population underwhelmed, is it to be presumed that this should be true for others?"
Khurshid had earlier said that he had been to Myanmar twice and he had not seen any crowd on the streets. "How come 20,000 people came to listen to him (Modi). He must have taken along many with him," Khurshid said.
