New Delhi, Aug 24: "Are you attempting to get an Olympic gold medal for this?" This was the observation made by the Supreme Court while refusing to entertain a plea that sought raising the human pyramid height during the Janmashtami festival in Maharashtra.

The Supreme Court had recently in an order fixed the human pyramid height to 20 feet, while also directing that none below the age of 18 shall take part in the same.

A petition had then been moved seeking a rethink on the order. The petitioner said that the demand to raise the height has the backing of every political party in Maharashtra.

The Supreme Court while rejecting the plea observed that it was very scary to raise the height any further.

The SC asked on a lighter note, "Are you planning to win an Olympic medal on this. If that is the case then we would be happy."

The Maharashtra government had said during the arguments earlier that the height could be increased to 25 feet. The height is the main attraction of the game. The petitioners also said that the sport is famous and has made it to the Guinness book of world records.
