4 NIA officials decorated with police medals

New Delhi, Aug 15: For their meritorious service and handling of tough cases relating to terrorism, four officers of the National Investigation Agency have been decorated with prestigious police medals. Alok Mittal, Inspector General, NIA was conferred with the President's police medal.

Mittal has been supervising the high profile ISIS case in India. He was also part of the investigations conducted into the Bharuch killings and the Udhampur terror attack.

Satya Nand Pandey, Superintendent of Police, NIA was conferred with the police medal. His intelligence gathering skills and expertise in investigations earned him the prestigious medal.

P Vikraman, Dy.SP, NIA was part of the high profile investigations into the Edakkad, Lashkar-e-Taiba case in Kerala. He was also instrumental in the seizure of fake currency being transported from the Nedumbassery airport.

Braj Bhushan Pathak, Inspector with the NIA is an expert at probing financial frauds. An expert at intelligence gathering and also collection of forensic evidence, Pathak has ensured that the NIA filed several strong chargesheets in various high profile cases.
