Mumbai: Photojournalist and friend identify minor who assaulted her
According to reports, the minor was identified by the photojournalist and her friend through a parade at a juvenile home here on Wednesday.
The minor was one of the first ones to be arrested by the Mumbai Police. He will be tried in a juvenile home and if found to be guilty, he will be sentenced to a maximum of three years in a reform home. According to police officials, the minor is a serial offender.
The Maharastra governement has assured a fast track trial for the other four accused in the case.
Earlier this week, a woman had filed a case accusing five men of raping her at the same location on July 31.The photojournalist, who is an intern with a magazine, was out on an assignment with her male colleague on August 22. She had entered the Shakti Mills compound to click some pictures when she was approached by the accused who then raped her.
