Mumbai: AK-56 rifle seized from house of a person with links to Chhota Shakeel gang
Mumbai, Jult 7: Two 9 mm pistols and one AK-56 rifle were seized from a house in Mumbai's Bandur Nagar whose owner allegedly has links with Chhota Shakeel gang. Chhota Shakeel was once a key aide of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
On July 5, Thane crime branch's anti-extortion cell arrested two men and seized 10 gm cocaine. While questioning the duo, police stumbled upon information that led them to a house in Mumbai's Bandur Nagar where pistols and AK 56 rifles were seized.
As per reports, the owner of the house has links with Chhota Shakeel gang.
In January this year, it came to fore that Chhota Shakeel was dead and the entire D-Syndicate was taken over by the ISI.
With Dawood's health failing, he had put Shakeel in charge. With Shakeel being in the way, the ISI carried out a hit job on him on January 6, 2017, to get him out of the way.
