Lucknow, August 5: Uttar Pradesh assembly by-polls are to be held for the twelve seats, although the schedule for the by-polls has not been announced.

But as the bypolls are looming, BJP has to deal many 'sulking' netas, as per a TOI report.

BJP senior leaders like Lalji Tandon, Kalyan Singh, Vinay Katiyar, Satish Mahana, Om Prakash Singh, party general secretary Ramanth Kovind and Kunwar Manvendra Singh are quite 'unhappy' with the way they are being treated or sidelined in the party.

The report said that Satish Mahana was removed from the post of deputy leader of the BJP's legislature party when he was hoping to be elevated as leader of BJP legislature party.

Om Prakash Singh, who had sought ticket for his son from Mirzapur, was disappointed when the BJP handed over ticket to its regional alliance Apna Dal.

Lalji Tandon, who had to pave way for Rajnath Singh to contest from Lucknow, is also said to upset as he was neither offered any governor post nor he was given the Rajya Sabha seat.

Kalyan Singh, the former chief minister of UP and one of the most powerful OBC face, is also feeling 'marginalised' as his son Rajbir Singh was not considered for the minister's post at the Centre.

Kunwar Manvendra Singh has also gone into sulking mode as he was denied the parliament ticket.

By-polls will be held in Kairana, Lucknow (East), Bijnore, Thakurdwara, Noida, Saharanpur, Charkhari, Hamirpur, Nighasan, Sirathu, Balha and Rohnia, whose legislators have been elected to the Lok Sabha in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which held most of these seats, is also trying to make the most of its ascendancy in Delhi.

Meanwhile, Congress, who contested the Lok Sabha polls in alliance with Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and Mahan Dal - a regional outfit, has decided to fight bypolls alone.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has bowed out of the by-polls citing its long standing principle of not contesting by-polls and the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) is set to try and win some seats from the BJP after its near whitewash in the Lok Sabha election.
