Unnao molestation: Sixth accused surrenders
Lucknow, July 10: The sixth accused in the Unnao molestation incident, whose video had gone viral, on Tuesday (July 10) surrendered before the police, said reports.
Unnao Police had arrested two men on Friday in connection with molesting a girl and making the video of the incident. A total of five people have been arrested in connection with this case.
According to reports, the woman was abducted from her house and taken to a secluded area in the nearby forest by the three. The clip shows the trio molesting her in a jungle area even as she pleads with them to let her go. The lady can be heard saying 'bhaiya aisa mat karo'.
The men abuse her and threatened to beat her with slippers and shoes. One among them said, "We will make this video viral."
While the victim, a widow, shown in the video later claimed that she was gangraped by the four men, three were visible in the clip and a hunt was launched for the fourth one who was making the video of the incident.
Those arrested by Unnao police on Friday were identified as Rahul, Vimal and Akash. Unnao superintendent of police Harish Kumar said the 6-7 persons were believed to have abducted the victim, 30, and molested her.
