Lucknow: 4 killed in hit and run case
Police have arrested two Ayush and Nikhil who were reported to be drunk, while the other three are absconding.
Lucknow, Jan 8: A speeding car rammed into a night shelter in Lucknow killing four labourers and injuring six others at Dalibagh locality in Hazratganj area in the wee hours on Sunday.
The main accused has been as identified as Ayush Kumar. According to news agency ANI, the car was allegedly being driven at a high speed when the accident happened. There were five people in the car who crashed into a night shelter killing four people. It is learnt that the incident occured around 2 AM when 35 labourers were sleeping inside the night shelter and the car rammed into it. Four of the deceased were daily wage earners from eastern Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district.
"Two of the accused, who were drunk, have been arrested and car has also been seized," SSP, Manzil Saini said.
Police have arrested two Ayush and Nikhil who were reported to be drunk, while the other three are absconding. The six labourers, who are severely injured, have been admitted to the trauma centre.
