Kolkata: 2 killed after a 100-year-old building collapses in Sealdah
Kolkata, July 23: Two people have been killed and two others were injured after a 100-year-old building collapse in Kolkata's Sealdah area, West Bengal on Monday. The injured person were immediately shifted to N.R.S Medical College and Hospital.
The building, located on 15/16 Baithakkhana Road, was over a 100 years old and was occupied by mostly tenant shopkeepers.
The incident happened around 2 am when the first floor came crashing down, killing Gopal Naskar and Manik Janabuilding who were sleeping inside.
According to Locals, the building had been declared dangerous by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation.
