Protest in front of Mohanlal's house for reinstating Dileep in AMMA
Kochi, June 29: Youth Congress workers on Friday took out a protest march towards the residence of actor Mohanlal, protesting the decision of Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) to reinstate actor Dileep. Mohanlal is yet to react to the objections rising from all around the State regarding the issue.
The Youth Congress members and KSU protested in front of actor's house in Kochi. According to reports, in front of a banner in which it is written 'Paying homage to Amma, the association of stars,' the group staged their protest, march and also placed a wreath.
Dileep had said that he will not be active in AMMA, till he is proven innocent.

Four female actors, including the victim, have resigned from the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists following the reinstatement of sexual assault accused actor Dileep's membership. Those who have decided to resign include the victim, besides Rima Kallingal, Remya Nambisan and Geetu Mohandas.
Superstar Dileep, the eighth accused in the Malayalam actress abduction case, had recently filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case.
Dileep was arrested after two rounds of questioning on July 10, 2017, for his alleged role in the conspiracy hatched for the abduction of a Malayalam actress. Superstar Dileep, the eighth accused in the Malayalam actress abduction case, had recently filed a petition in the Kerala High Court seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case.
