In her Facebook post the passenger said, "I came from Bengaluru and booked a cab to Kakkanad. When I got into the vehicle near the pre-paid auto rickshaw counter, a group of auto rickshaw drivers blocked the vehicle saying that Uber taxi was not allowed in the station premises. They manhandled the driver and attempted to snatch my mobile when I captured the images of the tussle. Then they abused me."
Vidya added that a policeman reached the spot only an hour and half of arguments with the auto driver and ensured she was allowed to travel in the same cab. The driver, identified by Vidhya as Mohammed, was pulled up by the auto drivers for picking up passengers from the railway station. Uber has sought action against those who attacked their driver.
