Rajasthan polls: 74.38% polling recorded (Pics)
Jaipur, Dec 1: Rajasthan saw 74.38 per cent polling in the assembly elections by the end of the day on Sunday. One-hundred and ninety-nine assemblies went to the polls while the election in Churu was postponed owing to the death of a BSP candidate.

The voting process was largely successful except a couple of trivial incidents in Bharatpur where attempts were made to capture two poll booths in Bharatpur. In Alwar, some men tried to disrupt the polling by trying to enter the polling booth and the security men fired in the air.
Pali saw a low turnout of 6.63 percent while Ajmer saw a poor turnout of 8.28 per cent. Jhalawar witnessed a voter turnout of over 37 per cent.
Chief Minister Ashok Gejlot said it would be a one-sided victory for the Congress in the polls as it would reap the benefits of the good work it has carried our over the last five years.
Fates of 2,087 candidates, including Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and BJP's chief ministerial candidate and former chief minister Vasundhara Raje will be decided in the polls. Over 4 crore people will cast their ballots in the polls, including 1.92 crore women. Seventeen lakh voters will vote for the first time in this election.
