Rajasthan: BJP confident of winning majority, yet spares no effort
State party chief Vasundhara Raje, the former chief minister and also the chief ministerial candidate this time, presided over the meetings along with senior leaders like Gulab Chand Kataria and Vhupendra Yadav. In the initial hours of the meeting, the focus was on the party candidates, district heads and parliamentarians from Bikaner and Bharatpur division. While those from Kota and Ajmer division attended the meetings in the later half. Representatives from other divisions will meet the top leaders on Wednesday.

Raje, who was confident that the BJP would come to power with a clear majority this time, met 85 candidates individually and sought feedback from them on he probable outcome in their respective constituencies. The issue of rebel candidates and the damage they can inflict on the party's prospects were also taken up in details.
Raje said the BJP fought unitedly for the assembly elections and thanked BJP president Rajnath Singh, party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and other national leaders for addressing poll rallies in Rajasthan.
One-hundred and ninety-nine seats of the Rajasthan assembly went to the polls on December 1. Polling was postponed in one seat due to the death of a BSP candidate. Results of the election will come out on December 8, along with those of Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
