Zimbabwe impounds US cargo plane after dead body is found
Harare, Feb 16: Crew members of a cargo plane were in for a rude shock when the body of an adult male fell out from the airline. The cargo plane carrying millions South African rand has been now grounded in Zimbabwe after it stopped for refuelling.
The incident comes to light after ground staff spotted blood dripping from the plane. On questioning the crew, they said that the flight had hit a bird. However on searching the plane, the body of a male fell out.
The plane was then impounded and the body was handed to pathologists.
The plane was transporting large sums of money from Munich and was bound for Durban before it stopped for refuelling in Harare.
According to local reports, four crew members have been arrested. The plane is owned by Western Global Airlines and the matter is handed over to local security officials, who are investigating the matter.
