Video: Canadian PM Justin Trudeau greets on Baisakhi
Ottawa, Apr 13: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has extended his warm greetings to Sikh community on the occasion of Baisakhi.
"Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh," is what he started his video message. The video message was posted online on April 10.
Justin Trudeau has actively participated in Indian festivals. He addressed a large number of Indo-Canadians at a Hindu Temple in Ottawa on the occasion of Diwali.
Trudeau's Liberal Party scored a stunning victory in Canada's Parliamentary elections in October last year, ending 10 years of leadership by Stephen Harper. Harper was one of the longest-serving Western leaders.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Trudeau to visit India when bot the leaders met on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit in US.
