There is a lot of curiosity among Indian politicians, economists and policy makers about the final outcome of the US Presidential Elections 2016.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Varun Gandhi thinks if the Republican Presidential nominee Trump wins the election, it might lead to the rise of racism and bigotry across the globe.

In his column-- The rise of racism and bigotry--published on the NDTV website, the Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh) MP, wrote, "Donald Trump's rise is not an accident--it was fed by decades of rage against minorities by the Republican party and rightwing television."

The scion of Gandhi family even expressed how anxiously he was waiting for the results.

"The forthcoming election is a milestone, one which could lead the world to a future that encourages anti-immigrant rhetoric and open bigotry or one that maintains the genteel status quo. Will we see the advent of a new age of racial and cultural exclusiveness? We await its outcome with trepidation," he added.
