The taxi-aggregator Uber Technologies has voted to appoint Expedia Inc. Chief Executive Dara Khosrowshahi as its new CEO after Travis Kalanick resigned in late June.

However, representatives for Uber didn't return requests for comment and an Expedia spokeswoman declined to comment, said the report.
Mr Kalanick stepped down under pressure from shareholders in the San Francisco-based firm. His resignation came after months of turmoil at the firm, including a series of controversies about sexual harassment, macho culture and the departure of senior executives, according BBC.
As per reports, he would take on the daunting task of mending Uber's image, repairing strained relations among investors and rebuilding employee morale to create a profitable business after seven years of losses.
