Is US President Donald Trump ruing the fact that former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani has joined his legal team to bring early relief in the investigation into the alleged collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia in the 2016 presidential election?

This remark by Trump’s ally Rudy Giuliani could create more trouble for him

After revealing that Trump had repaid the money that his attorney Michael Cohen paid to porn actress Stormy Daniels for keeping her mouth shut over her alleged affair with Trump in the mid-2000s ahead of the presidential election which forced the president to also concede it after initial denials, Giuliani said in an interview on Sunday that Cohen might have made payments like he did to Daniels to other women as well.

Speaking to ABC News's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos", Giuliani reiterated his stand that Trump reimbursed Cohen with his money in a "retained agreement for his services" which included $130,000 that Cohen handed over to Daniels to remain silent over the allegations over her having a sexual encounter with the tycoon in his pre-presidential says.

"The agreement with Michael Cohen, as far as I know, is a longstanding agreement that Michael Cohen takes care of situations like this then gets paid for them sometimes," Giuliani said, adding that Cohen could make such payments to other women for Trump if it was necessary.Trump although acknowledged that he repaid the money to Cohen but insisted that it was nothing in contravention of the electoral laws. He also remained defiant saying it did not twist the story and called the noise over allegations of him lying as "crap".

Trump also said that Giuliani was new to his team and would get his facts straight soon.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided the residence, office and hotel room of Cohen in April to seize information about payments done to women who had alleged affairs with Trump over a decade ago.

Former Playboy model Karen McDougal is another such woman who reportedly had agreement with a company that allegedly had paid her money amid the 2016 polls campaign to stop her account from getting published.

Trump has been accused by at least 15 women of sexual misconduct and the former has denied all and even threatened to sue his accusers during the 2016 campaign though he is yet to make any move on that.
