Taliban suicide bombings kill 27, injure 40 in Afghanistan
Kabul, June 30: At least 27 people were killed and 40 injured in twin suicide bombings carried out by Taliban in Kabul on Thursday.
The suicide attack was carried on a police academy near the capital city Kabul.
"We are still investigating the precise nature of the blast, whether it was suicide attack, car bomb or whatever -- we do not know it at the moment," a senior official said.
This attack has come just nine days after 14 Nepali security guards were killed when a Taliban suicide bomber attacked them on June 20 while travelling in their Kabul minibus.
Nine other people were wounded, including five Nepalese and four Afghans.
