Love story gone awry: Man kills girlfriend, dares cops to find him
News reports suggest that 33-year-old David Micheal Kalac murdered his girlfriend Amber Lynn Coplin. Coplin's body was found by her 13-year-old son Wilson, who initially thought that his mother was asleep.
Wilson told the police officials that he had heard his mother and Kalac argue on Monday night. Witnesses said that they heard a loud thumping and banging sound from the aprtment.
Coplin's body was found in her bedroom. Near her body was her driver's license and the wrod 'dead' written on it.
Officials confirmed that the pictures posted online are that of Coplin. Kalac is a serial offender and has a criminal history in Washington state and Virginia on accounts of burglary , assault and driving under influence. Kalac has been charged with second-degree murder.
Kalac also took Coplin's car but soon he was chased by police officials following which he abandoned the four-wheeler.
