Russia: Blast in St Petersburg supermarket, 10 injured
At least 10 people were reported injured after a blast in a supermarket in St Petersburg, Russia.
Nobody was killed in the explosion, but at least four people were hospitalized and there were unconfirmed reports of a further 10 people being injured.
The cause of the blast was not immediately known. Emergency personnel are already on the scene. The evacuation has been completed, and there was no fire.
The Investigative Committee, the nation's top investigative agency, said a device containing 7 ounces of explosives went off inside a locker in a storage area for customers' bags.
"All possible versions of what has happened are being worked on," Alexander Klaus, the head of St Petersburg's investigative committee, told Reuters .
"As of now, it has been established that 10 people were taken to the city's hospitals with injuries. At the moment, the lives of those injured are not under threat."
