"Reinstating the Doha-Nagpur route is part of Qatar Airways' strategy to service increasing demand by providing the best possible flying experience to our customers in India."

"Today, India has the largest number of destinations served by our carrier across any market and we will continue to look for more destinations and additional flights to expand our reach in the Indian subcontinent," Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, Akbar Al Baker said.

Qatar Airways will operate a daily A320 on the route between Doha and Nagpur from December 1, with an average flight time of just over four hours.

A new economic zone and airport are being planned in Nagpur, which are likely to increase the attractiveness of Nagpur and Qatar Airways will be poised to meet the demand in the market, Al Baker said.
