Commemorative celebrations gathered Polish authorities, including President of Poland, Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister, Beata Szydlo, as well as Warsaw citizens.

During the celebrations, Duda underlined that the Third May Constitution was a revolutionary solution reached through discussion, mutual understanding and a will of improving the country's situation while disregarding own privileges.

The celebrations were accompanied by events, such as a concert of patriotic songs and a ceremonious walk through the streets of Warsaw, with actors impersonating historic persona of the times, such as King Stanislaw II Poniatowski.

The Constitution drew inspiration from the European Enlightenment and the American Constitution of 1787.
