PM Modi only foreign leader to share frame with Obama in film on his feats
Philadelphia, July 28: A short film on the accomplishments of US President Barack Obama was screened at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday (July 27) and guess what? Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only foreign leader to have shared a frame with the outgoing US president.
The short film, which was screened shortly before Obama made his speech at the convention, featured a file photo of Obama and Modi besides a long shot from the Paris Climat Summit held last year end which included UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and French President Francois Hollande, among others, although they do not share the frame with Obama.
The film highlighted Obama's accomplishments since he took over from George W Bush in 2009 and covered all aspects of his presidency---including his efforts to bring the recession-hit US economy back on track and overseeing the mission to nail Osama bin Laden---the dreaded al Qaeda terrorist.
The five-minute video also has its lighter side showing Obama singing Christmas carols and singing with kids. It also showed the president's emotional reaction to the massacre of small children at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in December 2012.
