Pak used JeM to carry out terror attacks in India during my tenure says Pervez Musharraf
New Delhi, Mar 07: Former Pakistan president, Pervez Musharraf has said that the Jaish-e-Mohammad was used by the country's intelligence to carry out attacks in India during his tenure.
He made the disclosure during a telephonic interview with Pakistan journalist, Nadeem Malik of Hum News. He further said that the outfit had tried to assassinate him twice in December 2003.
When asked about why he refused to act against the outfit, Musharraf said that the times then we're different. Both India and Pakistan were involved in a clandestine struggle carrying out bombings in each other's territory. He also said that he did not insist that action be taken.
