Orlando shooting: Omar Mateen was brainwashed by imam to kill homosexual

Washington, June 13: Omar Marteen, the man who killed dozens of people at a night club in Orlando in US on Sunday was brainwashed by the Orlando Mosque Imam to kill homosexuals.

"Omar Mateen was brainwashed by Orlando Mosque Imam to kill homosexuals," tweeted Taslima Nasreen.

At least 50 people were killed and more than 50 were injured after Omar Mateen opened fire at the Pulse nightclub in the worst mass shooting in the history of the US. Mateen was later shot dead by SWAT team members.

When the attacker opened fire in the early hours of Sunday morning, it interrupted an evening of drinking, dancing and drag shows at a club known for tolerance for all people.

Omar Mateen emerged, carrying an AR-15 and fired relentlessly 20 rounds, 40, then 50 and more. In such tight quarters, the bullets could hardly miss. He shot at police. He took hostages.
