Nawaz Sharif disqualified as Pakistan Muslim League president by SC
Nawaz Sharif was on Wednesday disqualified as Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) president by the Supreme Court, as reported by Pakistan media.
While announcing the verdict, the apex court said that a person who doesn't qualify on Article 62 and 63 of the constitution can also not hold the office of presidency of any political party.
Earlier in 2017, Pakistan Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case under Article 62 of the Constitution for failing to declare his receivable salary as an asset.
