Munich: Man armed with knife injures several in train stabbing
Munich, May 10: At least one person was killed and three others injured after a man armed with knife attacked several passengers at a railway station near Munich, media reported on Tuesday.
According to reports, the knife attack carried out at a railway station around 4.50am on Tuesday at German town Grafing, east of Munich.
The assailant made remarks at the scene of the crime that indicate a political motivation -- apparently an Islamist motive," said a prosecutor's spokesman.
The suspect attacker arrested shortly after the incident and authorities are trying to ascertain his identity.
The attacker reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" before attacking the passengers.
An investigation into the incident has been launched. One of the victim is in critical condition. The exact number of victims is not yet confirmed. More details about the incident is yet to be revealed.
