Search area for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 to be expanded
Kuala Lumpur, April 16: Australian, Malaysian and Chinese ministers have decided to expand search area by another 60,000 sq km for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 if nothing is found in the current search zone, BBC reported on Thursday.

It
is
believed
to
have
crashed
off
Western
Australia,
but
so
far
no
trace
has
been
found.
Malaysia,
China
and
Australia
are
committed
to
the
search
for
missing
MH370.
Four ships are currently scouring an area of the same size and have searched more than 60 per cent; they are due to finish the zone in May.
The additional search area could take up to a year to complete given adverse weather conditions in the upcoming winter months, a joint statement from the ministers said.

Investigators still do not know what happened to the plane. A widespread search has been conducted for the plane off the coast of Western Australia.
