Colorado, Oct 5: In a shocking revelation, the remains of a boy who went missing 7 years ago was found in a chimney. At 18, Joshua Vernon Maddux disappeared suddenly and could not be found.

His remains were later discovered by contractors when they were tearing down an abandoned cabin, which was less than a mile away from his home in Colorado. A talented musician, he was reported missing in 2008. It is believed that Joshua tried to squeeze down the chimney of the house when he got stuck. He could not get out of the fireplace as it was blocked by a heavy wooden furniture.

Nevertheless, officials still are unsure of the reasons behind his death. The coroner said,"There was no indication of trauma that we could detect. It was likely accidental because there would be easier ways to commit suicide than climbing down a chimney."

The body was discovered about a month ago and was identified by dental and missing records and also by the missing tip of his index finger, which he lost in an accident as a child. The remains implied that his legs were separated from the torso. Joshua was coping with the loss of his brother who had committed suicide two years ago.

Laced with several questions, his death however brings a closure to the anxiety of his parents.
