MH17 shooting down: Russian missile blamed, says report
Washington, July 16: The MH17 draft investigative report has held Russian missile responsible for shooting down of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over the Ukraine last year, media reported.
US officials familiar with the reports has held pro-Russian rebels responsible for the shooting down of the plane, reported CNN.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, heading from Amsterdam to Kuala-Lumpur, crashed in the Donetsk in Ukraine on July 17, 2014, killing all 298 people on board.
The Dutch Safety Board is heading an international investigation to find out the cause of the crash as majority of the victims were hailed from Holland.

The report also said that it was a Russian surface-to-air Buk missile used to shoot down the plane from a village in Russian rebel controlled territory.
According to other sources, the report contains minute by minute details of flight MH17. It also claimed that pro-Russian rebels were responsible for the downing of MH17.
The report also put little blame on Malaysia Airlines for how its planes were dispatched that day, the sources claimed.
The final report of MH17 crash is expected to be competed and published in the first half of October this year.
